Irena Novotná Title: A Case Study of Physiotherapy on a Patient with Vertebral Algic Syndrome of the Lower Spine Objectives: The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to provide a comprehensive summary of theoretical information related to lower back pain. The work includes a list of the most suitable diagnostic and therapeutic methods to this issue. Lastly, the thesis provides a case study of physiotherapeutic care for a patient with lower back pain. Methods: Throughout the duration of the case study, I applied physiotherapeutic methods and procedures that I had acquired during my three-year study of physiotherapy at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport in Charles University. Results: The effectiveness of physiotherapeutic care was assessed by comparing the patient's initial and final kinesiological assessment, which are summarized in the chapter titled "Evaluation of Therapy Effect". The therapy had a favorable impact on the patient's overall condition. Conclusion: This bachelor's thesis is based upon continuous professional practice. Listing out appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic methods and approaches. Elaboration of a case study report of physiotherapeutic care for a patient according to given difficulties. Methods: Physiotherapeutic methods and procedures, achieved during my three-year study experience of physiotherapy at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, at Charles University, were applied while elaborating a current case study report. Summary: Current Bachelor's thesis was developed on the basis of completing a continuous professional practice at the University Hospital Královské Vinohrady in the period from 6.1. to 31.1.2020. Title: The case study of physiotherapeutical treatment of a pacient with diagnoses of Vertebrogenic pain syndrome of lumbar spine. Objectives: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to teach theoretical information related to vertebrogenic pain syndrome. A summary of appropriate therapeutic methods and approaches that can compensate for the patient's health and alleviate pain. And the subsequent treatment of casuistic physiotherapeutic care of a patient with diagnosed vertebrogenic pain syndrome. Methods: The bachelor thesis was elaborated on the basis of graduation of continuous professional practice at the Faculty Hospital Královské Vinohrady in the range from 21st January 2019 to 15th February 2019. The first part of the bachelor thesis, is the general part, is comprehensively theoretical knowledge regarding vertebrogenic pain syndrome. The second, special part is a case study of physiotherapeutic care of a patient with vertebrogenic pain syndrome. Concretely, it is about the possibilities of using elements of this approach in patients with low back pain. Almost everybody somehow deals with low back pain in life. Fascial Manipulation could be the key in solving this problem. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is divided into four sections. The first one is about the anatomy of lower back, the second one is about lumbalgia in general, the third one is about fascial system highliting the clinical point of view, the forth one is about Fascial Manipulation. The practical part involves case studies of two patients with low back pain (chronic and acute). The aim of this part is to find out the effects of a therapy based on elements of FM in patients with lumbalgia.
